Purity is your shield

An extract from Bill Bullock:

"The worship of Ba'al Pe'or was, in reality, not worship of a god - even a false god - at all; it was the exact opposite of worship. It was the adoption of irreverence - the fear of no god, and the acceptance of no bounds on personal behavior - as one's way of life.

This licentious philosophy is very easy to embrace. Such a philosophy calls every perversion normal, and labels every restriction of morality - or even what most men would consider common decency - 'prudish' and 'unenlightened'.

After all, if nothing is sacred, nothing is vile.

Oh Israel, what are you doing? This 'nothing is sacred, nothing is vile' philosophy is the exact opposite of the Holy One's plan for you. The Holy One has set you as a shining kingdom of priests, to shed the Holy One's moral and spiritual light abroad in the world and to make distinction between the holy and the profane and between that which is t'hor and that which is tamei.

Purity is your shield, Beloved, please, please, do not drop your shield!"

We need to live the Word, only then do we reflect what is pure! Only then do we reflect the Messiah. Do not conform to this world! Speak the Truth to those you love - even if it hurts...
If you really love somebody, you will not tell the lie, but only the Truth...even if they won't listen. One day EVERYBODY WILL know the Truth!

Proverbs 16:17-21, 25

"The highway of the upright is to depart from evil.
He who keeps his way preserves his soul.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor,
Than to devide the plunder with the proud.

He who heeds the Word finds prosperity.
Whoever trusts in then Holy One is blessed.
The wise in heart shall be called prudent.
Pleasantness of the lips promotes instruction.

There is a way which seems right to a man, But in the end it leads to death. "

The Renewed Covenant 2

Hebrew 8:10 ; "Because this is the covenant that I shall make with the house of Yisrael after those days, says YHWH, giving My laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people"...this passage comes out of Yirm 31:33.

We are saved by His grace, free from our sin and punishment by His mercy...He turns our hearts from stone to flesh....He gives us new hearts...the heart for His laws. He changes our way of thinking and give us a new attitude...an attitude to be obedient!
Obedient out of love, NOT to get saved...we are already saved!

Yoh 3:36 ; "He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him."

We are saved by GRACE, but then we have to start being obedient!!

Luke 6:46 ; "But why do you call Me 'Master, Master' and do not do what I say?"

Being obedient is NOT a burden, and it does not mean you are trying to get saved by keeping the law!!! The Pharisees tried to get saved by obedience, then Messiah is of no value to you. Again you have to remember, the Torah teaches grace, and grace alone = salvation, and obedience = blessing!!!

Let me put it this way:
There is a little boy who was riding his new bike on the driveway. His dad keeps telling him to be careful and that he should not go to close to the street. The little boy just has to test this, and decides to be disobedient. He thinks "I'll just do one quick turn in the street and come right back"...unfortunately, just as he went into the street, a car came racing around the corner. ...
But just in time the little boy's dad caught the back of the bike and saved the boy from being killed. He saved him from being killed...he could have been killed because of his disobedience.

But now he was safe!!!!
One of two things can happen:
1. The boy takes advantage of his dads ability to save him. He does not listen or obey his dad's rules. He keep getting into trouble and life-threatening situations, because he doesn't believe his dad knows best.
2. The boy has learned to trust his fathers rules, because he now knows it is only there to protect him. Even though his dad saved him, he needs to obey to keep safe!! Until he has learned to be responsible. This way he will always be safe!!!

We are and can only be saved by the Messiah!!! But He gave us the Ruach ha Kodesh (Set-apart Spirit) to help and guide us. The Torah gives us guidelines to help us and to 'cleanse' us so that our lives will become set-apart for Him. Once you get saved, you only then begin to learn how to life a life like the Messiah!!!

The bride is getting ready...
Some people say, "but I'm not ready or this is not the right time..."

Well, when is? When the Anti-Christ is revealed? When the great tribulation starts or when He finally descends on the clouds?!
Make it now!!!

Num 6:24-26; "YHWH bless you and guard you;
YHWH make His face shine upon you,
and show favour to you;
YHWH lift up His face upon you, and give you peace."

Renewed Covenant

Jerm 31: 31-34, ""See the days are coming,"declares YHWH, "when I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisrael and with the house of Yehudah,
Not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim (Egypt), My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them," declares YHWH.
For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisrael after those days, declares YHWH:
I shall put my Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be my people.
And no longer shall they teach, each one his neighbour, and each one his brother, saying, "Know YHWH," for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares YHWH. "For I shall forgive their crookedness, and remember their sin no more."

This was the promise to the children of Yisrael of a new covenant to come. He says He will write His Torah on our inward parts, we will know it by heart. We will have the will inside our hearts to do His Torah/Teachings.

To many people believe that we stand under a whole new covenant, but we don't. We stand under a renewed covenant! We need to believe in the Son who was sent, the One who paid for our sins. Yisrael had the same terms - they had to believe the promise of the Son to come, the One who would free them, and die for their trespasses!

Did you know that there are 7 covenants in the Scripture between man and Elohim? Not just two! And if you become a believer, you become part of these covenants.
(see 7 Covenant Article)

Remember, when you are in a covenant relationship, there is NO breaking it!

If you stand in a covenant relationship and you have the Set-Apart Spirit in your life , the Father will reveal His word to you! You will know Him and walk with Him!

We are so blessed to be in this relationship with the Creator of heaven and earth! Blessed be His Name in all the earth!

Arguments and the 7 Covenants

Here follows some arguments that many people have when it comes to the teaching of Torah:

1. Replacement Theology:

“Yishrael broke the covenant, now we have a new covenant.” No!

Brit Hadashah = Renewed Covenant
It did not get replaced, it got made better!

Some Christians are satisfied with the spillage/crumbs that fall from the table, and they call it the feast of the Lord! In the meanwhile they are missing everything!

There are 7 covenants in the entire Bible! The four is in the Torah. They are: the covenant with Adam, Noah, Abraham and the Fathers, Moshe and Yisrael, David, The Messiah and the Peace covenant.

The logic of replacement theology is, the covenant with Noah replaced the covenant with Adam, and Abraham replaced Naoh etc - NO!

1. The covenant with Adam still stands! Man still labors by the sweat of his brow. Women still bear children in travail!

2. The covenant with Noah still stands! The whole earth will never again be destroyed by water. We can still see the sign of this covenant - the rainbow.

3. The covenant with Abraham still stands! Yisrael’s descendants will be more than the stars in the sky. We see the sign of the stars in the heavens every night!

4. The covenant with Moshe and the house of Yisrael still stands! In Leviticus Elohim states: “Even though you were unfaithful, I will be faithful. I will remember the covenant for the sake of the fathers, and bring you back to the land”...This is the covenant we are apart of now!

5. The covenant with David still stands, but is not yet fulfilled! The Messiah, the seed of David, will sit on the throne and rule from Yerushalayim!

6. The covenant of Messiah – “…will not be complete until all man knows Elohim”

7. The covenant of Peace is not yet established. It will happen in the 1000 reign, and then all will be complete. This is the first and only covenant Elohim makes with the Gentiles.

As a gentile you can be added to the covenant of Yisrael, but it still is a covenant between Yisrael and Elohim.

2. The only command is to love -
we have discussed this in detail. To love the Father and the Son is to keep their commandments. On this the whole law and the prophets hang.
(read article on Ten commandments)

3. The law was nailed to the cross, and if you try to keep the commands, Yahshua is of no use to you. Galatians.

No! What died on the cross was the decree of death against willful sin. Because the Torah says that if you sin willfully, you deserve death. We all deserve death. Yehshua took this decree away from us, He saved us!

He did not take away the law; He took away the penalty for breaking the law!

Where it states in Galatians 2:21: “I do not set aside the favour of Elohim, for if righteousness is through Torah, then Messiah died for naught”

Yes! That is correct! This verse is not against obeying Torah! Remember what I said last week?

Torah teaches:

Faith = Righteousness

Obedience = Blessing

If you are trying to get saved by keeping Torah, the Yehshua is of no purpose to you! The Torah doesn’t save!

It continues in Gal 3:1 “O you senseless Galatians! Who has put you under a spell, not to obey the truth?”

4. “We stand under the authority of the church fathers”

The church fathers decided that a lot of the Christian customs is to “Jewish”. They do not want to keep Passover, because it is to Jewish. They do not want to keep Sabbath because it is to Jewish.

These are not Jewish customs, it is Scriptural! Most of the Jews are so far from Torah, it will take a miracle for them to find their way back.

So the church fathers, especially Constantine made some new holidays like Easter and Christmas.

Ask me for the book, “The great falling away” by Don Esposito, if you would like to read more about this.

Our church is unfortunately full of heathen practices! This doesn’t mean that the Spirit does not operate there or that all churchgoers are doomed! No, off course not! But when you walk with Elohim, you grow…in the end times He will call his bride to come out of Babel. The bride needs to be clean, free from all idolatry!

One day you will stand alone before the Father and Yehshua....your mentor, preacher or pastor is not going to hold your hand OR take responsibility for what you believe.

5. “It is Legalism!”

No! Legalism is bad compulsive behavior! The Scripture teaches us that if you obey the commandments of YHWH, it is called obedience. But if you obey the commandments of men, you have been taken captive. The children of Yisrael were captives in the land of Egypt, but Elohim made them free! Then why did He give them all these commands?

Which nation thinks they own freedom? America! And yet they have the most laws in the world! It is because the law doesn’t hurt them, it protects them!

If you can see the wisdom of traffic laws, if you can understand that you are not a slave because you are living in a land with laws, then why can’t you see that keeping the commandments of YHWH will protect you? Its not legalism!!

Another distorted teaching is Mat 5:17 -48 "...if one slaps you on the cheek, turn the other cheek..."

It sounds like He is speaking Torah, but then He says something else? Is the Messiah contradicting Torah? No! Read the rest of the Torah portion that He quoted “...but if the man be a servant, he shall be set free!”
Yehshua came to teach a particular set of commands; He was filling up Moshe’s teachings;
Mat 5 speaks to the servants of YHWH.

The first set of commands after the 10 Commandments is called; “The law of the bond servant” – The servant, who for the reason of love, turns his freedom into further service.
Ex 21.

Now that YHWH has made us free from sin, what are we going to do with our freedom? We can go out as free men, doing as we wish, or we can say, Father, I like being in Your house, I like You! Thank You For my life, for my freedom…and for the reason of love I will not go out as a free man, but I will be your servant. The Torah then specifies that man must be maid a servant for life! There are commandments for bond servants.

It goes on to say that if a bond servant gets struck by another person, so that he suffers injury, he gets his justice or retribution from his Master. He does not get it from the other man, his master will deal with the other man. Thus if a man does slap you on the cheek, turn your other cheek, because you do not get your justice from him, you get your justice from Me! I, YHWH will revenge you!

Rom 12:19; ”Beloved, do not revenge yourselves, but give place to the wrath, for it has been written, “Vengeance is Mine, I shall repay,” says YHWH””

The Word teaches us that we are bond servants of the Messiah. That is why Paul and John said “I am a bond servant of Messiah, called an apostle”. Yehshua came as a servant of the Father.

6. Grace vs Law

Grace = unmerited favour/receiving something you did not deserve. To be saved.

Mercy = Not getting something you do deserve. Not getting the death sentence.

YHWH saved us by grace! Yehshua getting crucified on our behalf - Not having to die ourselves is mercy!

Introduction to Covenant

Matthew 24:4 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."

Many of the text was adapted from "Chosen People", by Don Esposito

The Covenant was given 3800 years ago to Abraham...a promise to all the coming generations of the twelve tribes of Yisrael.

One Truth I learned is that not all Israeli's are Jews, and many people today do not even know that. The Jews are only the tribe of Judah and Benjamin. The rest of the tribes were spread around the world, as prophesied.

Yishrael means to persist with YHWH.

The gentiles/"goyim" gets grafted into the olive tree (Yishrael), when they believe int he Hebrew Messiah and decide to stand in covenant with the Father.

Gal3:29 "And if you are Messiah's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise."

Thus Y'HWH does not become a gentile God!!! But you become an Yishraelite! A child of Abraham according to the Promise.
To be called gentile, means you are a heathen, now how can you be a heathen if you are a child of Messiah?

Eph2:11 clearly states: "Wherefore remember, that you being in time past gentiles in the flesh"
