Moses vs the Pharisees

I am busy studying the Hebrew gospel of Matthew (Mattithyahu). There are a couple of differences between the Hebrew and the Greek, but there is one verse that makes quit a big difference.

The verse I want to discuss is Matt 23:1-8.

At one stage Yehshua calls the scribes and pharisees 'a brood of adders/viper generation'. Then if you read in Matt 23 He tells us to obey everything they tell us and to guard it? Is He contradicting Himself? I think not!! It becomes clear when you read it in Hebrew.

Let's first look at the first three verses in the wrong translation:

"Then Yehshua spoke to the crowds and to His taught ones, saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees sit on the seat of Mosheh. Therefore, whatever they say to you to guard, guard and do. But do not do according to their works, for they say, and do not do.""

They is not in Hebrew and is actually inserted. In the correct context He is actually speaking of Mosheh in that sentence. It should read:

"Then Yehshua spoke to the crowds and to His taught ones, saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees sit on the seat of Mosheh. Therefore, whatever he (Mosheh)say to you to guard, guard and do. But do not do according to their(pharisees) works, for they say, and do not do.""

Then it continues to teach why we should not obey them:

"For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders, but with their fingers they do not wish to move them. And they do all their work to be seen by men, and they make their t'fillen wide and lengthen the tzittziyot of their garments, and they love the best place at feasts and the best seats in the congregations, and the greetings in the market-places, and to be called by men "Rabbi, Rabbi""
"But you, do not be called 'Rabbi', for one is your Teacher, the Messiah, and you are all brothers.'"

It sounds like the Master is against man-made traditions and rules! (Like the Talmud)
But He is definitely for Torah!!

The article is at the bottom of the page. I myself have been struggling with issues surrounding the commandments of the Old Testament and this article has opened my eyes and heart.
Please see this as a outhreach of love and a call to awakening.

Thank you, I have read the article you've send to me. I appreciate your concern, and know you send this to me in love.

There is a couple of problems with this article, and I wish to explain if you are interested? I will post a short teach - please read it!

Shortly for now, I am not a Messianic Jew, but a believer who uses only the Scripture as a guideline.
And secondly, the thing that sums up everything - I always repeat it in all my teaching:
Obeying the law DOES NOT EQUAL Salvation!! That is what Paul talks about. I am not under the law! To Be under the law means you are keeping it to be saved! We are under grace. BUT Obedience = Blessing. The Messiah Himself said, "If you truly love Me, keep/obey My commands."

    Love

I am almost finish with the article, do you have somewhere I can email it to.
Please, I did read through the other article. And I am not proud or just want to 'proof my point'.
I did a thorough study also in the hebrew context.

Pleas read my article, I am also trying to do this in love.

If you do not want to read the whole article, pleas just read this:

Please note – there are 6 different Hebrew words, which all have different meanings that are translated as law into English and other languages. If you do not know these different words, their meanings and were they are used in Torah it is VERY difficult to understand Pauls writings and to not use them out of context.
Belief = SALVATION and Obedience = BLESSING.
This is what I teach, this is what Torah teaches and the new covenant!
Rom 3: 31: “Do we then nullify the Torah through the belief? Let it not be! On the contrary we establish the Torah ” That is what we as believers need to do with our lives – not getting saved by Torah, but establishing Torah through the favour of Messiah!
Gal 7-9!!! “You were running well, who held you back from obeying the truth? That persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens all the lump.”
Rom 2:13 - 14; “For not the hearers of the Torah are righteous before Elohim, BUT THE DOERS OF THE LAW shall be declared right. For when gentiles, who do not have the Torah, by nature do what is in the Torah, although not having the Torah, they are a Torah to themselves.”

    Amen and blessing
