2 Chron 2:4; "see, I am building a House for the Name of YHWH my Elohim, to set it apart to Him, to burn before Him sweet incense, and for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, and on the New Moons, and on the appointed times (Feasts) of YHWH our Elohim. This is for Yisrael for ever."
We read in Leviticus 23 about the Feasts/appointed times of YHWH. They give us great insight into the end time prophecies...They are prophesies in themselves!
If you think it is not necessary to keep these feast, I've got news for you! Only four of these feast has been fulfilled: Pesach (Messiah's sacrifice), Feast of unleavened bread - His time in the grave, Feast of First Fruit (Messiah's Resurrection) and Shavuot (out pour of the Set-Apart Spirit).
Some churches think they celebrate these feasts - but on the wrong dates and even some on old pagan feasts:
Amos 5:21; "I have hated, I have despised your festivals, and I am not pleased with your assemblies."
The three remaining feasts that still needs to be fulfilled are the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles.)
These feasts can only be fulfilled by the true Messiah and soon will.
Col 2:16-17; "Let no one therefor judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths - which are a shadow of what is to come - but the body of Messiah!"
I have heard people rip these verse to shreds! Let no one judge you if you do keep these - for they remain prophesies of things still to take place. The only one to judge in how it must be kept, is the Body of Messiah!
We can not choose how to worship YHWH, everyone thinking his way is good. He tells us in His Scriptures how He wants to be worshipped. The Torah says that if you worship Him in ANY other way, even if your intentions are good, that He will see it as Idol worship!
Lev 23: 2; "...the appointed times of YHWH which you are to proclaim as set-apart gatherings, MY APPOINTED TIMES, are these:"
Remember, these are His Festivals NOT Jewish festivals...One can read in the Renewed Covenant of how the disciples and Yeh'shua kept them.
Here are the dates for the Appointed times of YHWH for 2010:
